The biennal session is held in Paris on even years during one day at the end of August. All registred delegates can attend and participate to the discussions on the proposed preferencial subjects by the mean of prepared or spontaneous contributions.

CIGRÉ, through its Study Committee, organize Colloquia on odd years. The last SCA1 Colloquia was held in Lausanne in 2005.
CIGRÉ participates on events organized by other associations with which CIGRÉ is in relation.
